Reducing pain + restoring function
Therapeutic Bodywork
With more than 17 years of experience in medical massage and clinical bodywork, I draw from a range of techniques. Sessions may include myofascial work, sports and rehab massage, scar release therapy, microcurrent, cupping, kinesio taping, and other advanced therapeutic approaches. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or addressing a specific area of restriction, each session is tailored to your specific needs and treatment goals.

Pattern Work
Most traditional approaches focus on what we experience: the symptom, the behavior, the thought, the emotion, the pain. Pattern Work widens the lens.
You may know the pain, the tension, the overwhelm, or the recurring struggle intimately. What can be harder to see are the patterns that have become woven through the way you move through your life. These patterns often began as ways of adapting to what life asked of you. Over time, what was once a response can become so familiar that it is difficult to distinguish from who you are.
A pattern you cannot see simply feels like reality. Once you can see it, something else becomes possible.

About Nan
For more than 17 years, my work has centered on understanding people through the body — how we adapt, how experience shapes us, and how what we have lived can become expressed in the ways we move, respond, and organize ourselves.
My background includes medical massage and clinical bodywork, nervous system education, and certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. My work is trauma-informed and shaped by years of working closely with people — listening beyond the immediate symptom or concern and recognizing the larger patterns that may be present.
My approach is shaped not only by professional training, but by lived experience. I bring a grounded presence that comes from integration rather than theory. My work is informed by what I have witnessed in clients and by what I have lived and come to understand in my own body.
Beyond Relief grew from this body of experience. It brings together the clinical work I have practiced for years with an increasingly expansive understanding of the relationship between body, experience, pattern, and perception.
Today, I offer both traditional Therapeutic Bodywork, focused on reducing pain and restoring function, and Pattern Work, which combines conversation and bodywork in a process of guided discovery.
